Please note this guide is based on Microsoft Outlook.
Also this is only relivant if you have purchased SMTP for your package.
Once you have an incoming address configured you need to some some more advanced setup for SMTP. - In the 'Internet E-Mail Setup (POP3)' screen enter 'More Settings'.
- Choose the 'Outgoing Server' Tab
- Put a tick in 'My server requires authentication'
- Choose Logon as and enter the detials as per your email:
- Username: username@amotherbyhosting.co.uk
- Password: password
- Click OK
- Back on the 'Internet E-Mail Setup (POP3)' screen change the smtp address to smtp.yourdomain.ext
- Choose Finish.
Please note the Username settings for SMTP changed on 5th May 2007. If you are using a username with a positive sign (+) in place of an at (@) sign please replace with the above username format.
